On Friday 18th March,2022, the Ga South Municipal Assembly commissioned two (2) brand new NISSAN NAVARA pickups.
The vehicles which were procured with funding from the Assembly’s Internally Generated Funds (IGF) takes the tally of new vehicles to four (4) since the inception of the new Ga South Municipal Assembly.
This has become necessary due to difficulties in monitoring and revenue mobilization activities.
The short ceremony was graced by the MP for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro, Hon. Sylvester Tetteh. He charged the beneficiary Units to put the vehicles to good use. He also commended the Assembly headed by Hon. Joseph Nyarni Stephen, Municipal Chief Executive and the entire management for their prudent management of the Assembly’s resources.
Earlier in the day, the Assembly supported Hon. Sylvester Tetteh to cut sod for the construction of a Maternity Ward at the Kokrobite Health Centre. The project is expected to be completed in six(6) months. It will be the first structure to be added to the Health Centre since it was built some twenty-one (21) years ago. The project will be funded by the MP’s share of the District Assemblies Common Fund.
